TUC Congress 2026

Our fringe meeting at TUC Congress 2026, ‘Ireland 2030. Let the People Vote’, marks the launch of our latest campaign.

A new and United Ireland is being discussed across the island, in all communities. And while the British Government attempts to make excuses it can no longer hide from this growing tide of public opinion. Self-determination for the Irish people is embedded in the Good Friday Agreement, an International Treaty - marking a clear difference between the situation in Ireland and Burnham’s ‘Nations and Regions’ discussion. We call on the new British Government to recognise their responsibilities, to implement the Good Friday Agreement in full and to start preparing now for constitutional change.

We are pleased to host our Patron, John McDonnell MP, along with other speakers including, Louise O’Reilly TD, Eddie Dempsey General Secretary RMT, and Geoff Bell author and historian.

This event is supported by ARISE - A Festival of Left Ideas.
